The Resilient Mind
Reporting back from the Frontlines of Mental Resilience and Neuroscience
Dear ,
For the past months, I have been deeply immersed in building MindGuard, a neuroscience- and AI-powered resilience platform designed to support Ukrainian veterans and civilians living under extreme psychological stress: https://www.mymindguard.ai
I have been visiting Ukrainian hospitals, psychiatrics, and frontline soldiers on-ground to understand the reality that Ukrainians live through today, and on 2nd April, I will once more venture into Ukraine for the official launch of MindGuard in our first partner hospital.

The challenges I witness in Ukraine made me understand something profound. Before, this newsletter was called “Wired for Growth“, as my personal passion and focus was on how to leverage neuroscience and technology to accelerate human development. But what I’ve learned deeply lately is that growth is impossible without first building resilience. The very foundation of growth is a resilient foundation, and just like economic growth requires resilient infrastructures and societies, mental and personal growth first requires the biological, social, and psychological components of building up resilience.
Growth is the tree crown we admire.
Resilience is the root system that nurtures it.
This is key: Resilience is not the outcome of growth. It is the biological precondition for it.
Growth is what can be seen above the ground.
Resilience is the root structure that allows life to survive the storm.
How do human beings maintain focus, emotional stability and sound decision-making when stress becomes chronic?
Neuroscience has studied this question for decades. Yet in the AI age, the challenge is becoming more urgent. Technology is disrupting and transforming the way we work, lead, and think at an incredible pace, while at the same time amplifying cognitive pressure.
MindGuard thus translates scientific insights on focus and habit building into something practical.
The platform combines daily resilience practices, physical exercises, breathwork, and peer-to-peer support with behavioral design, assisted by human-centered AI guidance. The goal is not therapy in the traditional sense.
The goal is training the nervous system.
Over the coming weeks, we will begin pilot programs and a clinical validation study with Ukrainian soldiers and our hospital partners. The aim is to validate the training and measure how our structured daily routines improve stress regulation and long-term resilience.
The newsletter will accompany this work and take you behind the scenes of this project.
Going forward, The Resilient Mind will return to a weekly rhythm.
I am looking forward to share reflections with you on:
• How the brain maintains focus under pressure
• How leadership and decision making changes in the post-AI world
• And what we are learning while building MindGuard for Ukraine
Think of this newsletter as field notes from the intersection of neuroscience, technology, and human resilience, inspired by both Ukraine and my work with the world's largest companies.
There is a lot going on, I’ll keep you posted.
All my best,
- Benjamin
